Barry W. Frazier – President As Director of Business Development at Center Oil Company, Barry has driven the evolution of Center Ethanol from concept to reality over the last twenty months. From the initial feasibility work, site and contractor selection, strategic positioning and financial structuring, Center Ethanol broke ground in October, 2006 and began operation in April 2008. Barry has been involved in the energy business for the last twenty-six years. His tenures with Apex Oil Company, Clark Oil & Refining, Transcanada Pipelines, Ameren Energy and Center Oil Company provide a broad range of domestic and international experience and contacts. His background includes extensive trading, marketing, management, refining and business development responsibilities in crude oil, finished light products, residual fuels, natural gas, electricity and renewable fuels.
Denny Crown – Logistics Manager Denny brings twenty-seven years of energy expertise to Center Ethanol after serving as Operations Manager for Center Terminal Companies – a privately held operator of approximately four million barrels of light product storage. Denny began his career at Apex Oil Company handling various roles including products scheduling, products trading and tanker chartering. He moved to Clark Oil’s Hartford oil refinery in the mid-1980s and was responsible for tank farm operations, oil movements and gasoline blending until the refinery was dismantled/sold in 2002.
Gary R. Parker – Founder/Key Investor Gary’s career in the oil industry spans some thirty-five years. He is currently CEO of G.P. & W., Inc. (founded in 1986) which does business as Center Oil Company and Center Marketing Company (collectively “Center Oil”). Center Oil is an oil distribution company dealing in refined petroleum products with annual sales in excess of $4.8 billion. Gary also controls interests in numerous petroleum storage terminal companies. He also has significant investments in and sits on the Board of Directors of Reliance Bancshares, Inc. and publicly traded World Point Terminals. Prior to his ownership of Center Oil, Gary was Executive Vice President in charge of light oil operations for Apex Oil Company and its subsidiary, Clark Oil and Refining Corporation. Prior to Apex, Gary began his career in the industry at Koch Industries.
Tony Newton - Plant Manager Tony comes to Center Ethanol Company from ACE Ethanol in Chippewa Falls, WI where he was employed as plant manager and was instrumental in driving higher production output and improved efficiencies. Prior to ACE, Tony was with Tate and Lyle in Loudon, TN where he rose through numerous management levels and was exposed to all plant operations. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
Ray Keating - Grain Manager Ray joins Center Ethanol Company from ConAgra, a large agribusiness with numerous facilities around the U.S. He was most recently Facility Manager at the ConAgra International Fertilizer business in Sauget, IL and has managed numerous other ConAgra facilities along the Mississippi River over the years. He also has extensive experience in grain trading/procurement, transportation logistics, barge operations and regulatory compliance. Ray has a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University.
